Median Crews offered at Washington State Department of Ecology

Offers employment to young adults 18+ years of age to staff median crews during two sessions, Spring and Fall. Work includes roadside cleanup and safety training.

Location: 300 Desmond Drive Southeast, Lacey, WA 98503

Application may be downloaded from the website. Call or email for more information. Spring session application deadline is February each year. Fall session applications accepted until all positions are filled. Crews work from July 1 until November.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Be 18 years old at time of application. Proof of age required.
  2. Be eligible to work in the United States.
  3. Demonstrate good safety awareness.
  4. Be willing to work outside all day doing physical labor, sometimes in uncomfortable weather conditions.
  5. Have a Social Security card and photo identification.

Specific recycling and hazardous substance information on many items, including: glass, newspaper, beer bottles, aluminum, cardboard, scrap paper, magazines, plastic, household hazardous waste, used oil, used appliances, scrap metals, toxins, paint, yard waste, tires, phone books, electronics, and unwanted medications.
