Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Media Tech Paraprofessional to support the library media program under the building principal. You will handle procurement, processing, distribution, and maintenance of library resources and Chromebooks, assisting students and staff with technology use.

You will also teach Library Specials classes and may substitute in classrooms, collaborating closely with the Technology Department to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits or ParaPro Assessment required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Data entry, filing and other general clerical tasks.
• Experience using computers, peripherals, and other technology.
• Willingness to participate in training opportunities relevant to technology.
• Ability to learn the educational resources available in the school library.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Must obtain an IDOE Sub License.
• Two+ years employment or volunteer experience in a school or library setting preferred.

Summary

Under the direct supervision of the building principal, the Media Tech Paraprofessional performs clerical and secretarial tasks related to the procurement, processing, distribution, and maintenance of library media. This position assists students and staff in the use of the school’s technology and library resources and handles all Chromebook distribution and issues. The Media Tech Paraprofessional has classes with students for Library Specials and occasionally will be a Sub or support in a classroom. The Media Tech Paraprofessional works closely with the Technology Department.
