Eurofins is seeking a Media Technician in Des Moines, IA to support the media department with preparation, controls, sanitation, and inventory tasks. The role requires attention to detail and strict adherence to quality systems and safety standards. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
You will work under supervision to maintain readiness, assist with client inquiries, and uphold Eurofins' commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Authorization to work in the U.S.
The Media Technician receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Laboratory Supervisor or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities and has the authority to take action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position and to identify the occurrence of departures from the quality system or from the procedures for performing tests and/or calibrations, so long as such action does not deviate from established company guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates and promotes thecompanyvision.
Regular attendance and punctuality
Reads,understands,and followsmanagement systemrequirements asrelevant to responsibilities,including but not limited to requirements found in theQuality Manual, SOPs,Local Work Instructionsand Methodswhich in turn ensures compliance with ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC requirements and relevantgovernment regulatoryrequirements.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulationsrelativeto assigned analytical work;maintainandassistothers inmaintaininga clean, safe workenvironment.
Full knowledge of media department including, but not limited to:
Media preparation
Setting up quality controls
Sanitation/dishes
Media inventory management
Identifyprocess difficulties and report these together with proposed solutions tosupervisor.
Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs ofclients, staff, andco-workers.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees.Communicate orally and in writing to co-workers.This includes “intra” and“inter” departmentalemployees.
Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical businesspractices asrelated to the public and ourcustomers.
Continually strive to improve the quality of work we provide to our clients through existing andnewtechnologies.
Identifynon-conformances and out-of-specifications.
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficientmanner.
Performs other duties asassigned.

HS Diplomarequired
AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology,Biochemistryor a related field. Experience inplating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
