The Senior Associate will manage media opportunities across lines of business, develop story angles, coordinate interviews, and promote research and thought leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Public Relations experience, either agency or in-house.
• Experience in all aspects of Public Relations: strategy, pitches, opportunities, interviews, reporting.

As a Media Relations Senior Associate within J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will focus on strategic media relations for the firm’s ETF business, its U.S. mutual funds and its Multi-Asset Solutions as well as other ad hoc projects to support the business. You will be responsible for generating media coverage that highlights our investment views, thought leadership and products across national and trade media. In this role, you will manage media opportunities across each line of business, securing market coverage, broadcast segments, feature stories, profiles, trend pieces, and product launches. You will partner closely with portfolio managers, product teams, marketing and internal stakeholders to identify timely story angles and coordinate interviews all while promoting the firm’s research and thought leadership, and organizing and executing press events to promote insights with reporters.

Job responsibilities

• Identify and executeearned media opportunities that support the growth and visibility ofU.S. Funds, U.S. ETFs and Multi-Assetbusinesses, aligning to key themes and products launched, the Guide to ETFs and Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions.


• Collaborate with spokespeople to develop bylines and messaging for interviews.


• Build and maintain relationships with asset management, investment and ETF beat reporters.


• Monitor, analyze and socialise coverage internally.


• Partner with social media team to amplify earned coverage and extend reach across channels.


• Represent Asset Management PR in internal business meetings and cross-functional projects, as well as engage with industry groups and consultants on behalf of J.P. Morgan.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required.


• 5+ years of Public Relations experience, either agency or in-house.


• In-depth experience in all aspects of Public Relations, from creating and presenting a strategy, to writing pitches, securing opportunities, managing interviews, monitoring and presenting results on a regular basis.


• Proven ability to proactively pursue and achieve a high level of press activity, working independently. Must be comfortable with measurement of press placements on an ongoing basis.


• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with and influence senior executives.


• Experience in handling crisis communications, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders as needed.


• Ability to create and sustain productive relationships with the media.


• May include occasional domestic travel for ETF related conferences.
