Job summary

University Center for Teaching and Learning in Pittsburgh seeks a qualified Media Producer to support the Academic Media team in creating video and multimedia content for various uses. The role requires extensive videography experience in studio and field production, as well as media management.

Minimum: Bachelor’s in film, media production, or related field, or equivalent experience. Portfolio required; occasional after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, communications or related field and/or relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Sony cameras (FX6 or similar), lighting and audio techniques, and inventory management.
• Producing or post-production skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Records and edits studio sessions and webinars, shoots and edits photographs, and creates media announcements on information monitors and University bulletin boards.
• Maintains and troubleshoots audiovisual (AV) equipment, instructs on proper usage, and facilitates AV skill development workshops.
• Coordinates acquisition requests and updates AV supply inventory.
• Capture video in studio and on-location settings, and work with a team to complete video and media production projects.
• Operate camera, audio, and lighting equipment, proficiency with Sony cameras (FX6 or similar)
• Manage two studio spaces and video production equipment.
• Organize, log, and archive media files following team file-management standards.
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and student collaborators on routine production logistics.
• Use team-approved AI tools to support production workflow tasks.
• Other production duties, including producing and editing, as needed.

The University of Pittsburgh Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking a qualified media producer to support the Academic Media team creation of video and multimedia content for a variety of uses. This on-campus position is ideal for a professional with extensive videography experience including field and studio production as well as footage/media management.

Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, communications or related field and/or relevant professional experience. Experience and proficiency with Sony cameras (FX6 or similar), lighting and audio techniques, and inventory management is required. Producing or post-production skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable. Work outside of regular business hours will be required occasionally.
