Cambridge Technologies in Sioux Center, IA is seeking a Media Prep Lab Technician I to assist in preparing and sterilizing media used for autogenous vaccines. Work closely with a team to follow SOPs, maintain records, and handle glassware cleaning and inventory with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or higher is required or preferred.
  • Aseptic technique and clean room experience are preferred but not required.
  • Good documentation practice experience is preferred but not required.
  • Degree or experience in related field is preferred.
  • Able to read, understand SOPs and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare various media using filtration or steam sterilization techniques learned on the job.
  • Read and understand SOPs within the department.
  • Record keeping and daily task documentation.
  • Clean, prepare, and sterilize glassware and equipment used in procedures.
  • Manage inventory and communicate with supervisor and team.
  • Follow USDA regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Summary

Media Prep Lab Technician I will assist in the prepping and sterilization of various medias used in the production of Autogenous Vaccines. Applicant must be able to work with little to no supervision and be able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) within the respecting department.

Accountabilities

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Supervises: Has no supervisory responsibilities

  • Preparation of various media using filter or steam sterilization techniques learned through on-the-job training.
  • Ability to read and understand Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Record keeping and documentation of daily task.
  • Preparing, cleaning, and sterilization of glassware and equipment used in various procedures.
  • Inventory management.
  • Accurate communication amongst co-workers and supervisor.
  • Able to demonstrate and promote safe lab practices and procedures as assigned by Cambridge Technologies.
  • Acts within guidelines of Cambridge Technologies company policies.
  • Must be able to learn and follow regulatory guidelines by the USDA.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • All other assigned duties

Fast-paced work environment with a family style culture. Team centric laboratory, willing to provide on-the-job training. Noise level in production is typically moderate.

Education
