ROLE OVERVIEW

The Media Operations Manager – Night Shift will provide technical and operational support across PPC’s Media Asset Management (MAM) environment and associated media workflows.

Working closely with the Technical Operations and Data I/O teams, the Media Operations Manager will support business stakeholders in their day-to-day use of the MAM system, acting as a primary point of contact for technical support, workflow management, user access, and operational requirements.

The role will also support the ongoing development, integration, and expansion of the MAM environment, including connectivity and workflows between the Los Angeles and London offices.

The successful candidate will have experience working with Media Asset Management systems within a media agency, post-production facility, broadcaster, or similar environment, together with a solid understanding of media and post-production workflows. They will be proactive, highly organized, technically minded, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced production environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing first-line technical support to Media Asset Management (MAM) users, diagnosing and resolving technical issues and escalating where appropriate.
  • Working closely with Technical Operations, Data I/O, and key stakeholders to ensure MAM workflows are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Supporting the ongoing development, integration, and improvement of the MAM environment, including workflows between the Los Angeles and London offices.
  • Monitoring and triaging the automation pipeline, identifying issues, escalating where appropriate, and working with relevant teams to ensure workflows continue to run efficiently.
  • Managing user onboarding, training, system access, permissions, and security requirements.
  • Collating, ingesting, logging, preparing, and managing media assets required across PPC in line with agreed schedules and priorities.
  • Ensuring media assets and associated metadata are accurate, complete, correctly ingested, and maintained to the required technical quality standards.
  • Managing the movement and availability of media across storage, servers, and production environments.
  • Monitoring media workflows, identifying operational or technical issues, and working with internal teams to resolve them within required production timelines.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing production requests to ensure resources are allocated effectively and deadlines met.
  • Maintaining accurate operational documentation and communicating workflow changes, technical issues, and updates clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting the testing and rollout of new MAM functionality, integrations, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of Media Operations and supporting wider Technical Operations and Data I/O requirements as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience working with Media Asset Management systems within a media agency, post-production facility, broadcaster, studio, or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with Media Asset Management systems; experience with Dalet Flex is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of media management, ingest, metadata, asset preparation, and post-production workflows.
  • Good understanding of broadcast and post-production technology, including computers, servers, storage, IT systems, and networks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to systematically analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical and workflow issues.
  • Experience supporting users, including providing technical guidance, onboarding, and training.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a high level of initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider technical and operational team.
  • Understanding of media security, user permissions, and access management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Java, Ansible, and Linux operating systems is beneficial.

This position is based in our LA head office, and the salary rate for this role is up to $36.15 per hour. The rate will vary depending on the candidates skills and experience.
