Job summary

Certified Group seeks a Sanitation & Waste Disposal Lab Assistant in the Media Department to prepare, sterilize, and organize media and reagents for analytical testing of food products. You will help ensure sterile materials are available, maintain safety and compliance, and support cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Familiarity with aseptic sampling techniques.
• Basic knowledge of testing laboratory practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain bacteriological media and chemical solutions.
• Safely operate an autoclave to sterilize media, reagents, and supplies.
• Label, handle, store, use, and dispose of media and solutions per safety guidelines.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of prepared media and supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments to prepare required media in a timely manner.
• Maintain laboratory conditions, equipment, and records; ensure safety and quality programs.
