National Media, a leading media buying company in Alexandria, VA is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Media Finance Associate to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in accounting who is highly comfortable with Excel and eager to learn new systems. Media experience is not required—we are looking for someone who can grow into the role and help us improve how we work.

What You’ll Do:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform media reconciliation across campaigns and vendors
• Track budgets and ensure accuracy across multiple data sources
• Work heavily in Excel to organize, analyze, and validate financial data
• Assist with reporting and month-end processes
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and data accuracy

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3+ years of accounting or finance experience (internships or part-time experience considered)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business‑related field (or currently pursuing one)
• Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with large datasets, using lookups and conditional formulas, and building pivot tables)
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
• Tech‑savvy and quick to learn new systems
• Someone who asks questions, takes initiative, and looks for better ways to do things

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• Experience with accounting software (any platform)
• Exposure to media, advertising, or agency environments
• Interest in process improvement or automation
