Job Summary/Description:

Gray Destination Marketing is a specialized division within Gray Media Group, dedicated exclusively to the travel and tourism industry. With deep expertise in destination marketing, we help DMOs, attractions, and hospitality brands craft compelling campaigns that drive visitation and economic impact. Backed by Gray Media's extensive resources and cutting-edge digital strategies, our team delivers customized solutions that connect destinations with travelers- maximizing reach, engagement, and results. This position is entirely remote and can be applied for from any state where Gray Media operates.

We’re seeking a strategic, self-motivated professional with deep expertise in the travel and tourism industry to join our growing Gray Destination Marketing division. This mid-to-senior-level role will be responsible for developing and executing multi-platform media strategies—with a strong emphasis on digital and broadcast—to drive measurable results for destination clients nationwide.

The ideal candidate is well-versed in digital marketing, connected within the tourism space, understands how destination marketing budgets are allocated, and is passionate about helping CVBs, tourism boards, attractions, and hospitality brands achieve their visitation and brand awareness goals.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build and grow strategic relationships with state and regional tourism offices, CVBs, agencies, and travel brands.
• Develop and present customized advertising proposals using Gray’s full suite of assets, including local TV, digital, streaming, and social.
• Lead client strategy from planning through execution, coordinating closely with internal teams across Gray’s 113 markets.
• Attend and represent Gray at key travel and tourism conferences, co-op meetings, and industry events.
• Consistently identify new revenue opportunities and provide innovative marketing solutions that align with client goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in media sales or marketing, with a focus on the travel and tourism industry.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, audience targeting, and OTT/CTV platforms.
• Demonstrated success in building tourism-focused campaigns with proven ROI.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
• Highly organized and proactive, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times per month for client meetings, events, or conferences.
