Center for Public Partnerships & Research is seeking student assistants to manage the Media Crossroads Studio when the Director is unavailable. You will also technically direct live productions using the TriCaster hardware at the university's Media Crossroads Studio.
Responsibilities include studio management, tours, inventory maintenance, video editing, and managing the production workflow. The role is hourly and requires enrollment in at least 6 credit hours for the academic term.
Position Overview
The School of Journalism is hiring student assistants to Manage the Media Crossroads Studio when the Director is not available. Student Employees will also technical direct live production using the TriCaster hardware. Location is the Media Crossroads Studio on the first floor of Stauffer-Flint Hall.
40% - Managing the studio, providing tours, maintaining Inventory, assisting staff & students.
30% - Editing, uploading, and managing video production workflow.
30% - Technical directing live production on the TriCaster.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Resume & cover letter, detailing video studio work experience, including video editing. At least two personal references who can attest to people skills (working with the public).
