YOUR ROLE:

The Buyer oversees tactical planning, execution and reporting of campaigns. They utilize their knowledge of the media marketplace and media channels to brainstorm and ideate new activations and vendors for media campaigns.

A successful Buyer is resourceful, organized, and energetic throughout the planning process. A strong communicator, you are comfortable in a fast-paced industry and handling multiple projects.

Reliable, ethical & operates in the best interest of Crossmedia & clients

  • Maintains a base-level knowledge of buying for both online and offline media channels: Digital (Banners, Audio, Video) Search, Social, TV, Radio, OOH [Out-of-Home], Print.
  • Owns vendor communications and developing relationships with clients.
  • Manages RFP process: developing partner consideration sets, putting together RFPs, and managing conversations & RFP development with partners.
  • Collaborates on the buying of media, vendor contracts, budget management by individual platforms, billing/invoicing for media campaigns.
  • Leads knowledge of media buying tools to execute plans and buys- Freewheel, SBMS/Adazzle, GCM & MOAT/IAS, GCM, Datorama, Tableau etc.
  • Applies principles of negotiation to ensure discounts and added value
  • First ‘gatekeeper’ and reviewer for Assistant’s work.
  • Ensures smooth campaign launch & execution and communicates updates internally and externally.
  • Deep understanding of the Digital media trafficking process
  • Performs weekly pacing and monitoring of campaign performance

Focuses on a quality product, adhering to Crossmedia’s high standards

  • Fully comprehends media strategy and tactical details.
  • Supports Supervisor/Director in the development of media approach
  • Proactively encourages media + creative integration through cross-agency presentations and timelines
  • Validates accuracy of data use for reporting
  • Develops media POVs for clients
  • Encourages thinking outside of the box.
  • Stays up to date with marketplace offerings and new opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in a media investment/buying role across online and/or offline channels, including campaign execution and managemen (Digital - Display, Audio, Video), Search, Social, and Traditional (TV, Radio, OOH, Print).
  • Proficiency with media tools and platforms such as Freewheel, SBMS/Adazzle, GCM, MOAT/IAS, Tableau,
  • Strong project and campaign management skills, including RFP development, vendor negotiations, trafficking, and pacing/reporting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills—able to manage vendor relationships, support internal teams, and clearly articulate media strategies.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members

Salary range $62k – $75k. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.

This role requires proximity to New York City. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of onsite work and the flexibility to work from home.
