Job summary

The Rural Metro Fire Department is seeking a Fixed Wing Pilot based in Iron Mountain, MI, to provide medical air transportation services. The successful candidate will be proficient in flying the Pilatus PC12 aircraft, working a schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off while adhering to high safety standards.

Qualifications include a Commercial Airplane License, significant flight hours, and a commitment to ongoing training and professional development. The position offers comprehensive benefits including sign-on and retention bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have 2,500 Total Flight hours with 2,000 Fixed Wing hours.
• Need 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) and 500 Cross Country hours.
• At least 100 Night hours, including 75 Instrument (50 actual) hours.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers safely and effectively to and from locations.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flights according to regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all flights.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
• Monitor and maintain certifications and training.

Skills

Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-ASEL)

Single pilot IFR experience

Medevac and/or cargo experience

Flight log bookkeeping

Valid driver's license

Current FAA Medical Certificate

Education

High School Diploma or GED
