Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Support Assistant to work full-time in Baton Rouge, LA. You will support patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, helping with daily needs and ensuring comfort and safety.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork with nursing staff, and adherence to safety and privacy protocols. Experience in healthcare is preferred, and physical capability to assist with mobility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and move during the shift.

Responsabilités

• Help patients with bathing, eating, walking, and personal care.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Answer call lights and check on patients often.
• Watch for changes in patient condition and report to the nurse.
• Help with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collect and transport lab specimens.
• Keep patient rooms and care areas clean and stocked.
• Follow safety, infection control, and privacy rules.
• Be kind and respectful to patients, families, and coworkers.
