Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation Support role to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse. You will assist with daily patient activities and help ensure comfort and safety.

Essential duties include vital signs, patient transport, charting, and collaborating with the nursing team. Preferred CNA or Basic EMT certification, CPR, and nursing student exposure to RN level clinicals.

Qualifications

• Previous job experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred and may be required for unit responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and assists the nursing staff with patient duties.
• Obtains and documents complete vital signs of patients incl. temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration and pulse.
• Assists with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients to the unit.
• Performs or assists with safety, infection control, and charting procedures.
