Job summary

Century Park Associates is hiring for a Certified Medication Technician (QMAP) to deliver quality assisted living services while complying with all regulations. The role reports to the Resident Care Director and supports residents through the care plan, with a 2-week rotational schedule across full-time, part-time and PRN shifts.

The position requires current Med Tech/QMAP certification, CPR, and a high school diploma, with preference for 1 year in senior services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have current Med Tech or QMAP certification; certification must remain current.
• CPR certification upon hire and kept current during employment.
• One year of experience in senior services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies for medication administration, ordering and delivery.
• Immediately report medication errors or missing medications.
• Provide quality care to residents per care plan.
• Promote resident independence per service plan.
• Comply with infection control guidelines.
• Ensure proper transfer of medication cart between shifts, including narcotic count.
• Document medication administration in EHR per policy.
• Participate in community Lifestyle activities and outings.
• Demonstrate patience, compassion and integrity with residents.

This is not a Medication Aide position. Must be certified Med Tech in the State of TN. We are actively hiring for all shifts full-time, part-time and PRN.

Position Summary

TheCertified Medication Technician (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel/QMAP)delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing resident’s individual capabilities in accordance with all laws, regulations and Century Park standards. Reports to Resident Care Director (or Assistant Resident Care Director).

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent


• Must have current Med Tech or QMAP certification. Certification must remain current during employment.


• One (1) year experience in senior services preferred


• Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain within 90 days of hire. Certification must remain current during employment

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Follows all policies and procedures for medication administration, medication ordering, and delivery


• Immediately reports med errors, or missing medications


• Provides quality care to residents as indicated on the care plan


• Promotes resident independence in accordance with service plan


• Compliant with all infection control guidelines


• Ensures proper transfer of medication cart between shifts, including narcotic count

• Participates in community Lifestyles activities, events and outings, and encourages residents to attend
