Qualifications

Job description

Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the night shift.

$7500 Sign-on bonus

Job Summary:
  1. Serves as a professional member of the laboratory staff, performing all laboratory procedures (Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, Urinalysis, Point of Care).
  2. Assists with R&D, staff training, quality control review and assessment, instrumentation maintenance, venipuncture, solves problems under critical time constraints, operates under minimal supervision, and assists the Analytical Lead and Laboratory Manager.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology.
  • A degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Military Equivalent with eligibility for certification.
Certification
  • Current certification by the ASCP as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
  • MLT (ASCP) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Experience
  • Experience preferred but not required.
