Job summary

Navion of New Bern, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related and caregiving roles. Our Medication Technicians provide high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in an advanced Assisted Living Community.

Join our dynamic team on 1st Shift with every other weekend schedules, supporting residents and ensuring their wellbeing and safety in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Must complete State Approved Medication Aide course.
• At least high school diploma and 18+ years of age.
• PCA or CNA certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Administers medications and oversees resident care as part of daily duties.
• Attends in-service and continuing education programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Documents care in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Reports changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Operates equipment safely and follows infection control practices.
• Follows community policies and procedures for scheduling and tasks.
