Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team for a 13‑week in-house contract. You will perform analytical procedures across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and more, and help maintain equipment.

This assignment requires ASCP certification, 2 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work at least 36 hours per week. Join a community-focused hospital serving northwest Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• Current Med Tech Certification from ASCP or equivalent.
• 2 year's experience applicable to the assignment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications required.
• Work a minimum of 36 hours per week during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection using appropriate collection techniques and devices as appropriate for age of patient.
• Demonstrates safe handling and proper collection techniques to maintain integrity and quality of specimens.
• Demonstrates correct procedure for labeling, accessioning, and delivering specimens to the proper department.
• Responds promptly to phlebotomy requests for STATs, ASAPs, NOWs and outpatients, with a supportive and cooperative attitude.
• Communicates information to appropriate areas, departments and individuals. Alerts appropriate staff concerning STAT orders.
