Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK seeks a skilled Medical Technologist to join the laboratory team.

You will perform analytical procedures across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, and phlebotomy, while maintaining instrumentation and quality control. Qualifications include an MS or BS in Medical Technology (or biology/chemistry) with experience, ASCP certification or eligibility, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• MS in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry with 2 years’ experience.
• ASCP certified as M, MLT, MLS or eligible for certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection using appropriate techniques.
• Demonstrates safe handling and proper collection techniques to maintain specimen integrity.
• Labels, accessioning, and delivering specimens to the proper department.
• Responds promptly to phlebotomy requests (STATs, ASAPs, NOWs) with a cooperative attitude.
• Communicates information to appropriate areas and alerts staff about STAT orders.
