Job summary

The Grand at Spokane is seeking a part-time Med Tech in Spokane, WA to provide daily living assistance in line with each resident's plan and Stellar standards, with compassionate, respectful care.

The position may include nights and weekends; shifts are discussed at interview. The facility offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for advancement in a growing senior living community.

Qualifications

• Must have a current HCA or NAC certification and CEUs as required by the state.
• Must have a current Washington Food Worker Card and CPR and First Aid certification, or be willing to get certified within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in a senior living or care setting preferred.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independently.
• A can-do attitude and a genuine compassion for working with the senior population.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications per the care plan requirements.
• Provide high-quality resident care and support with activities of daily living in accordance with each resident's service plan.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, and mobility in a kind and dignified manner.
• Answer resident calls promptly and determine how best to assist them.
• Ensure residents receive the appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
• Observe and respond to changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or needs and report them to the appropriate team member.
• Chart notes accurately and timely for each resident, documenting care provided and needs identified.
• Communicate effectively with residents experiencing communication barriers.
