Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a Med Tech for an on-site role at Avamere at Newberg. The position includes Full-Time and Part-Time/On-Call options.

Wage ranges from $19.70 to $25.70 per hour, depending on experience. The primary responsibilities are to administer medications and provide direct care to residents, with duties extending to health monitoring, documentation in EMR, and coordination with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care and/or Assisted Living.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer accurately and timely.
• Record medications in the resident’s record.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to Health Services.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart/room.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with providers.
• Observe residents for health changes and monitor vital signs.
• Document changes in residents’ status in the EMR.
• Perform delegated nursing services as assigned by the RN.
• Support new employees with facility policies and procedures.
