Job summary

Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for full-time and PRN roles across all shifts in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. You will provide medication services, document care, and support residents’ daily living activities while collaborating with nurses and caregivers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, and current Medication Technician certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Current Medication Technician certification as required for the position.
• Knowledge of medication procedures, medical terminology, and accurate documentation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and sound judgment.
• A patient, courteous, and compassionate approach to caring for older adults.
• Commitment to protecting resident privacy and confidential health information.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication services according to physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Document medication administration and resident care in MAR and records.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate medication records and coordinate with nursing and pharmacy.
• Communicate important resident information to incoming shift.
• Assist nursing with information for assessments and care plan updates.
• Check and record vital signs, weights, and glucose as trained and assigned.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and mobility as needed.
