Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab in Elizabethtown, PA is hiring a Med-Tech to assist with medication administration, charting and resident care. The role supports nursing staff and works across 6AM-2PM, 2PM-10PM, or 10PM-6AM shifts.

A caring, team-oriented approach is essential to provide quality patient care in a family-like environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, Med Tech Certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Med Tech Certification
• Current certificate in first aid and CPR preferred
• Significant experience working in a home health care environment is strongly preferred
• Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills
• Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks
• Comfortable using medical technologies and lab equipment

Responsibilities

• Make sure residents receive medication as prescribed and on time.
• Chart up-to-date information for each resident.
• Monitor, measure and document patients' vital signs in MAR on the computer.
• Assist clients with prescribed medications, exercises, and ambulation activities.
• Complete frequent cleaning and sanitizing to maintain a healthy environment.
• Assist nursing staff with diverse care needs of dementia and Alzheimer's residents.
• Respond to patient emergencies and physically stressful situations to restore calm or administer treatments.
