Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking a Med Tech (CMT) to administer medications and support residents during a Full Time 3pm-11pm shift. Competitive pay ranges with experience, shift differentials on evenings and overnights, and a comprehensive benefits package accompany the role.

The position emphasizes resident well-being, social support, and careful medication management with a focus on confidentiality and safety. Weekend or holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed certified medication technician with the MD Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Up-to-date medication certification requirements preferred.
• Highly organized skills.
• Ability to understand and speak English at a level that ensures safe, efficient job performance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments, observing their day-to-day behavior and outlook and ensuring their comfort and overall positive well-being.
• Provide social and emotional support, while encouraging residents’ independence.
• Manage the medication cart for complete, up-to-date supplies and quality control.
• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Job description

Pay ranges from $19.25- $23/ hour, based on experience, with the opportunities for shift differentials on evening and overnight shifts.

Full Time: 3pm-11pm shift available
