Job summary

Lewisville Estates Senior Living Community is seeking Med Techs to care for residents under the direction of the Assisted Living Director. We offer Full Time shifts from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, and PRN across all shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising self-administered medications, assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, and providing emotional support. A high school diploma or GED is required, with caregiver and med tech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver is required.
• Previous experience as a med tech is required.
• Previous experience working with a Senior Living Community is preferred.
• Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in compliance with Federal & State regulations under supervision of LPN/LVN or Assisted Living Director.
• Care for residents as if they were family.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist some residents with ambulation and transferring.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height and weight; calculate and record fluid intake/output.
• Recognize abnormal changes and report to supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Now hiring for the following schedule:

• Full Time - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• Full Time - 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
• PRN - All Shifts

• Measures and records height and weight. Calculates and records fluid intake and output.
• Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a caregiver required.
• Previous experience as a med tech required.
• Previous experience working with the Senior Living Community preferred.
• Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
