Job summary

The Oaks in Muskegon, MI, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, is seeking a Med Tech/Caregiver for part-time shifts. Under supervision, you will deliver medication and daily care per care plans, with an initial 3-day onboarding and a 3-week ramp to full duties.

You will perform medication administration, vital signs, wound care, and support daily living activities while ensuring safety, dignity, and HIPAA compliance for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medication Aide or Med Tech credential (state-specific certification).
• 1+ year experience in assisted living, memory care, or geriatric care.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift/transfers residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Medication Management: administer oral/topical meds per physician orders and Five Rights.
• Maintain, reconcile, and audit MARs.
• Perform controlled substance counts and monitor expirations.
• Take vital signs and conduct basic tests (e.g., glucose).
• Provide wound care and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers, mobility, and feeding.
