Belmont Village Senior Living in Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to assist residents with daily medications, monitor their responses, and maintain accurate EMRs under the supervision of a licensed nurse. • High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility
• C.N.A. License in states where required
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications following physician’s orders and assist with ADL care as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records and report reactions to the licensed nurse
• Take resident vital signs and observe responses or side effects
• Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions
• Collaborate with team to ensure high quality care and customer satisfaction
• Adhere to resident rights, state and federal regulations including infection control and safety

About The Role

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
