Job summary

Belmont Village Westwood is seeking a part-time Medication Technician for an AM shift in Los Angeles. You will assist residents with medications and daily care under supervision, while supporting licensed nurses and maintaining EMR accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a CNA or Medication Technician certification where required, plus good communication and reliable attendance. This role requires empathy, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced senior living environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • C.N.A. license may be required in some states.
  • Medication Technician or Aide Certification may be required in some states.
  • Clear verbal and written English communication is essential.
  • Intermediate computer and mobile device skills are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and assist with ADL care per physician orders.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and report reactions to the licensed nurse.
  • Take vital signs and monitor resident responses or side effects.
  • Attend shift meetings and communicate with nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure high-quality care and resident satisfaction.
  • Follow infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.

ABOUT THE ROLE
(Part Time) AM Shift 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
2/4 Rotation Varying Schedule

As a Medication Technician at Belmont Village, you will assist residents living in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community with their daily medications, monitor their responses and maintain accurate electronic medical records under the supervision of a licensed Nurse. You will support our licensed nurses with administrative tasks as needed. This is an excellent position for candidates who aspire to someday be a licensed nurse. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
  • Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
  • Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility
  • C.N.A. License in states where required
  • Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
  • Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
