Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. You will administer meds per physician orders, document in MAR/TAR, and monitor residents for health changes, while complying with regulations and infection control standards.

You will follow Six Rights, maintain accurate records, and participate in a team focused on resident safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years.
• Medication administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
