Job summary

Baptist Memphis is seeking a Head Nurse to oversee patient care, staff management and day-to-day operations of a nursing unit. The nursing process shapes decision-making as you partner with patients and families to attain, maintain and restore health whenever possible.

You will provide clinical leadership for nursing staff, collaborate with management to maintain continuity of care, and participate in hiring, evaluations, staffing and productivity while aligning with the hospital mission and

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience on current unit or in like setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care and ensure quality nursing practices.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to identify department improvements and implement changes.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance during life-threatening situations.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and outcomes.
• Participate in staff hiring, performance evaluations, staffing, payroll and productivity tasks.
• Collaborate with health-care teams to improve care delivery and patient outcomes.
• Support ongoing learning and professional development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
