Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 23-bed medical telemetry floor (unit 9LM). You will care for adults 18–100+ with conditions such as COVID, COPD, pneumonia, CHF, diabetes, and renal issues, using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.

You will coordinate care with hospital medicine, manage IVs and meds, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining patient safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• RN required with acute care experience.
• Telemetry monitoring and patient assessment essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Proficient use of EMR systems and clinical decision making.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to assess patient needs and plan individualized care.
• Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition and adjusts plans.
• Promotes patient safety and reduces risk through evidence-based practice.
• Coordinates discharge planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Demonstrates leadership and delegates appropriately to staff.
