We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Med Surg Tele Travel RN to join our team at Biron Robertson for roles across North Carolina. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a surgical unit
• Prior experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Surgical drains, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
• MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

Preferred Experience

• Titrate cardiac drips
• Titrate vasoactive drips
• Chest tubes - Emerson/Pleur-evac

Job Details

• Combination acuity unit: Adult medical surgical and surgical stepdown
• Ratios: 1:6 for surgical/medicine inpatient floors
• 12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hours accepted; every other weekend required
• Floating to similar units when needed
• Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
• 2 days of hospital orientation, 24 hours of floor training
• Scrubs: All Navy or navy on bottom/white top

Patient Diagnoses

• Wide range of diagnoses involving surgery or trauma, including:
• Cellulitis, Appendicitis, Cholecystitis, Diverticulitis, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Gun Shots, Stabbings, Falls, Various Cancers, Kidney Stones, Bowel Obstruction, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Limb Ischemia, Hernia, Gangrene

• Wound Vacs
• Chest Tubes
• NG tube/Corpak
• JP Drains
• Hemovac Drains
• Penrose Drains
