Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg Tele unit at West Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with the care team, and developing patient care plans to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RN experience, a nursing license in the state, and knowledge of IV meds administration, charting, and safety protocols. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience (required)
• Six months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting and assess patient condition
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Mercy Health policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
