Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg - Surgical unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa as an Assistant Nurse Manager.

The role involves supervising the Med/Surg team, managing patient care, and supporting the Nurse Manager in staffing and practice excellence. Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, a Bachelor's degree in nursing, and 1 year of leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required
• RN license required
• RN Nursing Specialty certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare field required

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient care with strong managerial leadership for the patient population.
• Support the Nurse Manager in supervision and resolve team and patient care issues.
• Contribute to ongoing performance appraisals, hiring, counseling, and termination processes for staff.
• Serve as a role model and communicate organizational information to the team.
