Job summary

tms seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults with acute and chronic conditions. The role requires an ASN and California RN license, BLS certification, ACLS per policy, and experience in Med/Surg or acute care. Strong documentation and patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• State RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Medical Surgical patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment, reporting significant changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Float to other units as assigned based on competency and patient care needs.
