Job summary

TMS seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) unit to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care to adults with acute and chronic conditions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized care, administer medications, monitor progress, and work with the clinical team for safe outcomes.

Candidates should have an ASN, CA RN license, current BLS, and ideally a BSN with ACLS per policy, plus recent Med/Surg experience.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Medical Surgical patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment, reporting significant changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Float to other units as assigned based on competency and patient care needs.
