Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5W. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or $5,000 for new graduates.

New grads are welcome. The Med Surg 5W unit cares for adult medical patients, emphasizing assessment and coordination of care. An MO RN license and BLS are required to join Mercy’s mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• New grads welcome; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
