Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5W in St. Louis, MO. The role offers a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. New grads and experienced nurses are welcome. Sign-on bonuses of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and $5,000 for new grads are offered.

The Med Surg 5W unit cares for adult medical patients with diverse diagnoses, emphasizing core nursing skills, assessment, and collaborative care with other departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the listed credentials.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred, depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with other departments.
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality; maintain Mercy standards.
