Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH) is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse to prescribe interventions, coordinate care, and delegate tasks to the care team for assigned patients.

The role requires an active South Carolina RN license, BLS/CPR, with ACLS preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to manage high-stress situations and collaborate with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of South Carolina.
• BLS/CPR required, ACLS preferred.
• Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• High level of interpersonal skills needed to coordinate care and communicate with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to apply problem solving in care planning.

Responsibilities

• The Med/Surg RN prescribes interventions, delegates tasks, and coordinates care of assigned patients.
• Provides direction and supervision to ancillary staff and delivers individualized patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process with age-appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
