Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Med Surg RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on a full-time day shift (7am-7pm) with rotating weekends. You will collaborate with the care team to assess, intervene, and advocate for patients across the care continuum, documenting care and ensuring safety and quality throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing within 2 years of start date.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide responsive care, addressing patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up.
