Job summary

Jobot is seeking an IMC Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. You will perform comprehensive assessments, manage complex med-surg conditions, and administer medications, IV therapies, and post-op care while documenting thoroughly in the EMR.

You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and support safe discharges.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS preferred.
• CMSRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult inpatients across varied conditions and acuity levels.
• Perform ongoing patient assessment, vital monitoring, and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to execute and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate handoffs and continuity of care.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and intervening in emergencies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice on the medical-surgical unit.
• Mentor and support nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to foster a collaborative care environment.
