Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Rochester General Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse I to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg/Complex Care unit. The 39-bed unit cares for medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic overflow, Tracheostomies, and ED holds, requiring sound clinical judgment and teamwork.

This role offers day shifts, 24 hours per week, with progression through Clinical Ladder levels and an established compensation add-on.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an approved program.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to meet Clinical Ladder requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient with interdisciplinary input.
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the team.
• Develops and documents an individualized plan of care and services.
• Adheres to safety, medication administration and documentation policies.
• Completes at least one CRU form with recent research article.
