Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical-Surgical with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio and rotating weekends. This Full-Time Night position offers a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have current VA or compact RN license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
