Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit (R4) to provide patient-centered care to adults 17+. The unit is fast-paced with 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios, a collaborative team, and emphasis on safety and documentation in EMR.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, with a 3-year commitment, and requires BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 1 year; Illinois RN licensure or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

Licensed RN (IL IDFPR) with active licensure.
BLS within 30 days of hire per AHA.
ACLS within 1 year of hire.
College Diploma in Nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered medical-surgical care to adults.
Maintain timely documentation and EMR updates.
Monitor vitals, administer meds, and ensure safety.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for care plans.
Support unit operations and patient flow during shifts.
