Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide bedside care on the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend and holiday rotation. The role combines direct patient care with medication administration and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold ADN with RN licensure in Illinois; BSN preferred. CPR/BLS required within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Experience level may vary per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care; performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care per physician guidance.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
