Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions with strong clinical judgment.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, engage patients and families, and promote evidence-based practice. BSN is preferred; a current Florida RN license is required, and those without a BSN must obtain one within 3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• ASN required at time of hire
• BSN preferred for this role
• Current Florida RN license and board certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status, identifying actual and potential health concerns
• Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practices
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes
• Engage patients and families as active participants in care planning and delivery
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality
• Delegate and supervise care provided by LPNs and UAP
• Promote a positive unit culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment
• Uphold standards of patient advocacy, safety, and clinical excellence
