Job summary

Nantucket Cottage Hospital seeks a Registered Staff Nurse to provide quality nursing care from birth through adulthood. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with medical orders and the hospital’s philosophy.

Expect responsibilities that include data collection, plan documentation, and discharge planning within 24 hours of admission. The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS/CPR within one week of hire, and ACLS/PALS certification within the designated orientation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with MA RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification within one week of hire; ACLS/PALS per orientation timelines.
• Ability to work day/evening/night shifts and rotate units as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all ages.
• Document data, communication, and patient plans with the care team.
• Initiate discharge planning within 24 hours of admission and teach care plans.
• Administer medications safely and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement.
