Job summary

Bryan Health in Nebraska is seeking a registered nurse for medical-surgical patient care. You will perform head-to-toe assessments, reassess pain, adjust care plans, and assist physicians with procedures while ensuring safe medication administration.

Ideal candidates hold Nebraska RN licensure, BLS, and prefer a BSN. ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification should be achieved within six months of hire to support acute care needs.

Qualifications

  • RN licensure in Nebraska required or active eligibility.
  • BSN preferred; ongoing BSN enrollment acceptable.
  • Must hold current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification to be completed within 6 months of hire.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and reassess per policy.
  • Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
  • Revise care plan based on patient response and daily evaluation.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and provide technical nursing duties.
  • Provide age-appropriate care and communicate with care team.
  • Ensure medication administration follows six rights to reduce errors.
  • Perform bedside report at shift changes and participate in handoffs.
  • Provide morning/evening care incl. hygiene and comfort measures.
