Job summary

Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time weekday days position. The RN will assess patient needs, coordinate and deliver nursing care, and collaborate with physicians to implement treatment plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; GED possible within 6 months.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Kentucky or work permit; compact state acceptable; BLS/ACLS/PALS required or obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose nursing care needs and establish outcomes with patient/family; prescribe, delegate and supervise nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinical disciplines to modify the plan of care.
• Assist manager with budget planning, policies and nursing standards of care.
• Actively participate in performance improvement and ensure care is delivered per hospital policies.
• Provide coaching, teaching, and timely documentation for patient care and education.
• Maintain safety, infection control and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
